Checkered Tops & Leather Jackets

If there is anything I am NOT a fan of it's florals and checkered tops BUT how could you say no to this checkered top with frills.  Hey it's 2017 and it's time to get outside of my comfort zone.  I found this top at Zara and paired it up with a pair of distressed jeans (also from Zara), boots from Lucky Brand, and a leather jacket.  The top's ruffles (or frills like I like to call them) give the top some character.  Not too much.  It's just enough.  The whole combination just worked and it was easy enough to pull off.  So now that we are one month into 2017, try something a little different too.  Get out of your comfort zone and live a little, even if it's in a checkered board.
